More than twenty restrooms in three towers of the SBS office have been given a fresh scent. And that with only three fragrance systems! A beautiful, but also very challenging project, which we undertook with fullmedia company SBS Broadcasting in mid-2016.
Eight floors, one scent system
When the project was surveyed, the plumbing facilities on the various floors were found to be right on top of each other. Since there was no air handling duct present, an independent odor duct had to be installed. A nice challenge for our specialists was to construct a vertical odor duct with discharge points on each floor. To do this, they placed the odor duct in an adjacent shaft. This allowed them to supply all floors of the building with odor from one technical room.
Unique system installation
In addition to placing the odor systems as efficiently as possible, installing a vertical odor duct is also a construction challenge. For this, our installation experts spent night hours on site performing concrete drilling. This allowed them to extend the odor channel to the various floors. A specialty that is unique in the world of scent perception and scent marketing!
